the shop where my car is said it coud be the TPS sensor ?

No, There are 2 temp sensors, one in the lower radiator hose & one on the intake manifold (near the fuel rail toward the front of the engine, right next to the coolant bleeder screw).

I believe the one he is talking about is the one on the intake manifold. start the car, wiggle the harness connected to it and see if it makes the car sputter/surge, etc.

does it only stall on reverse? does it ever stall @ idle when you are driving? is there any surging/weird idle? What is your idle rpm anyway?

yea the one im referring to is like in front of the intake manifold or say between intake manifold and radiator. its red. it will stand out. but mine was completely unplugged but ive heard problems of the connectors getting gummed out and easily cleaned with electric parts cleaner.

Car: 1995 240sx Base

My car is doing the same I also have a 1995 240sx base auto. (I have changed plugs new fuel filter and sea foamed the crankcase and vacuum lines) I can rev it as high as I want and throw it in reverse and it will still die. Also the r.p.m tach is all over the place when I do get it started and in drive.. Stalls every time after about five minutes of driving (forewords) Could I also have a throttle/intake issue? I really need to get this fixed..
*Takes multiple times to get it started
*stalls as soon as it is in reverse
*tach is all over the place in drive and ends up stalling after five minutes or less of driving.
Anyone? help?
