And if you're running rich wouldn't you smell oil not gas?
okay so i just checked everything. one of the lines was messed up by the little clamp thing. when i got under the car one of the fuel lines had some cracks in it (when i squeezed it u could see them) im guessing from being old. then there is one big line with somthing protecting it. i was thinking replacing the 2 small diameter lines because you can disconnect them by a metal adapter thing right on the side of the tank so it would only be about a foot and a half of line. also one of the fuel pump screws was missing. i tried to tighten the rest and they feel kinda stripped. do these tighten down a lot? and i was thinking of putting some type of sealent around the top of the fuel pump. would that help maybe?OutToWinPAHC wrote:You dont need to. Take out your spare tire and the theres an access area you may have to drop the one side but you can get to the top of the tank, pump, and hoses through the trunk.
why would you smell oil from running rich? running rich is running too much GAS, where would oil come into the equation? your oil might smell like gas, if thats what your trying to sayAZ89two4Tsx wrote:And if you're running rich wouldn't you smell oil not gas?
