Car shuts off then turns off while driving.

I have a 95 240sx SE. As stated in the title, the car, or should I say engine, turns off while I am driving then comes back on. It will do it a few times in a row then not do it for days. I changed out my MAF thinking that was the problem to no avail. I changed out 3 of them actually. I was getting fault code P0100 (MAF) but now I get P0400 (EGR). Could the EGR really cause this? Or is that going bad and I have this other problem going on to? I also noticed last night that I have a "cracked" PCV rubber hose (one of the four under the intake manifold). Can this also cause the hesitation and stuttering? Also, when it occurs, I lose all power and I can let off the gas to recover.There is not a specific time it happens. The car can be hot or cold. I can be driving 10mph or 100mph and it doesn't make a difference when this occurs. I scoured the forum for days for a similar problem with no luck finding anyone with any type of answer to this. Please help me cause this is driving me crazy!!!!!!
