car shuts off

i have an s14 with an s13 redtop sr20det and i have a light weight battery and my battery dies alot and my car idles probably worse then any car iv ever been in and i just got a brand new alternatur and iv checked my grounds and there all fine and all that i dont understand whats wrong. i had the norma stock battery in my trunk but it reads its fully charged on the charger but it will not put out enough power to even put my windows down. sombody please help me thanks alot.

theres prob. something thats draining your battery while the car is off....i had the exact same problem a few weeks ago....my idle was also a little shaky...it turned out to be a short in my stereo system power lines....the car is fine now and idle is stable.

just do a search for "battery draining" or something like that . theres a procedure to show you how to find the short if thats the problem....hope this helps
