car shuts off it self and dont start!!!!

hi, i drive a 1990 nissan stanza xe. my car is having a problem. the problem is: when i start the car when its cold., it starts up and idle right. but as soon as the heat needle started to raise the engine shuts off. after that the car wont start. when its cold it starts but as soon as it starting to heat up its shuts off it self. is this the egr problem. or vacum hoses. plz help me as this is my daily commuter and i need this car very badly.thnx.

try dumping a little bit of water on the distributor. then see if it starts. if not, mark dist rotor position and pull dist out. then disassemble and clean rotor plate. try again. let me know what happens.

i will do what u said. but i am thinking that something is wrong with the exhaust. car starts fine when cold buy then shuts off as soon as it starts to warm up.it idle perfect. anyways thnx for the info. i will try this out.

Would a leak in the exhaust cause this? Or maybe its a clogged EGR.

nope and nope.leaking egr might though.
