Did good at the car show. Got 1st place, but there weren't many cars in my class. That is unusual. There are usually about 20. Had a blast though. Beautiful day and beautiful cars.

This '69 didn't look any cleaner the day it rolled of the assembly line. Perfect, and I don't say that about many cars.

SVT...I took this pic for you. It was a very clean car.

I took my For Sale sign with me. I just couldn't make myself put it on the car. After about the 10th person came up to me and told me what a beautiful car it is, I texted my husband and told him I just couldn't put the sign up. He texted back "DON'T DO IT" He doesn't want to listen to me cry.

They were so hard to keep clean too. I had a 70 1/2 Camaro (notice a pattern). It was about the same color blue that Rambo is and it had a white vinyl top. OMG....I was scrubbing that stupid thing all the time. It would get mildew in the cracks of it. Yuck.

Most muscle car lovers will agree that '69 was about the best year for cars. They were about as high performance as you could get till the G'vt stepped in and started controlling the mileage and safety. Not that that is a bad thing, but SVT I'm sure you remember cars without seat belts and all the stuff around the dash was metal. I had a friend that ordered a '69 Camaro. It didn't even run. It came from the factory with the Tunnel Ram intake and the headers in the trunk. No warrantee. Bolt it together and take it to the track!

Yep, I remember playing with army men in the floor boards of the rear seat while riding back & forth between Burlington & Greensboro...Also, used to love to get up in that area in the back where the back window was.
I always wore a belt when I started driving.....learned that it kept me planted while shifting gears and .......doing stupid things.

It is good to keep your butt planted firmly in your seat when you are "feeling a wild hair". I used to grab the base of my S2000s e-brake when I cornered hard. I miss having a hand e-brake. That was something good to hold on to.

Oh yes..the package tray. I rode back there quite a bit. I did break the windshield of my Mom's '54 Ford with my head when she slammed on the brakes once. We were just flying projectiles!
