I'm in the market to buy an '06 MT coupe. I've been browsing the forums reading the posts. A quick question I have is there anything particular I should look for as a problem area for that year/model?

Welcome to the forum. There are several 06 Coupe MTs here, and they'll be along real soon.

Thanks for the oil consumption search suggestion. I read up on it. I'm going to test drive a car tomorrow. If i like I'm ready to buy it. I'm hoping I get a knowledgable sales person that is familiar with the car and this problem.

Hopefully the car I test drive is trouble free.

Don't even plan on getting any information about any possible problem from a salesperson. In sales, you never acknowledge shortcomings. Expect something like, "If there are problems, the factory warranty will take care of them at no cost to you".

Be sure to read the posts on how some of the coupe owners treat their vehicles. You don't want to choose one of those.

I picked up a 2005 coupe last Friday. It's a 6 speed with the Sport package. 18k miles on it and is a certified vehicle. I think it has every possible option except the Intelli key option. I really like it so far.

The Intelli key option was not available with a MT thru 06

Ahhh, I didn't know that. Then I guess I have every option including plenty of stuff I discover each time I drive the car. Most of the bells and whistles were not a factor in my decision. My factors were 2005-2007 model year, MT and Sport package and not red. I guess I ended up really lucky getting the nav system etc...

Like I said I love the car and how scary is it to think that I'm looking forward to driving in DC rush hour traffic just because I get to drive it, hehe!
