ok so I just replaced my clutch. The clutch works fine, my problem is now when Im below 25 mph the car and transmission shake violently. It doesnt make a difference what gear im in or even if Im in neutral it still shakes the same. The gear shifter almost seems like its moving in a circular motion. Ive allready gone back and made sure everything was put back on correctly and all bolts are tight.

Any ideas on what It could be?

Could be your spark plugs. Let the car idle and remove one of them at a time and if you see no difference that means its dead. You may need that or maybe a engine mount. Check the plugs. I just had the same problem.

Possibly driveshaft unbalanced? Somehow between me and my friend putting my transmission back in, one bolt that connects the smaller shaft to the larger shaft ended up vanishing.. didn't notice for a couple days, just figured i must have a loose motor mount. Shook pretty violently until about 25mph with a bolt missing

I suspect one of us didn't torque down that bolt .. >.> finger tightening ftl

Its deff not the motor, all my plugs are new and I would know if it was miss firing. The car also idles fine and it shakes even when im in neutral coming to a stop. The shaking seems to get slower as my car slows down. It feels like a driveshaft problem to me but I just swaped driveshafts and it does the same thing.

Check your wheels and make sure they are tight. You might have a bent rim or a bad bushing. Can you feel if it coming from the front or rear of the car?

The wheels are tight. I dont think I have a bent rim, they are se rims and they seem straight. The shaking seems to be coming from the drivetrian. hence the shaking shifter. It doesnt matter what gear im in or even if Im in neutral it still shakes the same. This makes no since to me

torqued the flywheel properly? tightened the transmission mount (made sure transmission mount bushing was secure)? definitely check for a loose wheel like they said. if it does it in neutral then it is probably some kind of rotating weight making the shake - like wheels and brake rotors and whatnot... it is possible to tighten a wheel a bit off angle and not realize it, so just take a good look at those things.

edit: if it is happening at certain rpms then i would seriously lean towards the flywheel.... but a certain speed makes me think driveshaft or wheels. that driveshaft is still moving if you are in neutral. like he said^ his car did this when he was missing a bolt - throwing it seriously out of balance. check the diff and whatnot?

I used a torque wrench and tightened the flywheel to spec plus its not rpm related so i dont think its that.

I put my car on jack stands and excelerated is to about 15. The motor, transmission, and the driveshaft shake alot. the wheels and the drivshaft end that goes in the diff dosent shake. That makes me thing motor or transmission mounts, but If the cars in nutral with no presure on the mounts why would it still shake the same if Im excelerating in gear. Could the rubber peice between the the transmission and drivshaft be causing problems? it doesnt look bad
