Ok guys I need some serious help. I have done quite a few searches on this but I can't seem to get a straight enough answer. I have a 90 240sx coupe. While I am driving my car at 45mph the steering wheel begins to shake side to side really bad and the car begins shaking in the front like my alignment was really off or my tie rods were bad. Anyways I replaced my tie rods and got an alignment and it still shakes my tires have been replaced and balanced and rotated and the car still shakes. I am running out of reasons why this would happen. I have looked at my tension rods and the bushings are blown. Would this be a possibility or is it something else. Please help this is driving me crazy!

ROTORS MIGHT BE WORN TOO, WHEN IT SHAKES, STEP ON BRAKES GENTLY. IF SHAKING STOPS AND DECREASED, ITS YOUR ROTORS.

CHANGE BOTH FRONT ROTORS AND BRAKE PADS.

AUTOZONE MAY HAVE$25 BUCKS FOR EACH ROTOR

$40 BUCKS FOR NICE BRAKE PADS

Mine did this and it was just my tires/wheels out of balance.

Mine also did that. It shook really bad at 62 mph and stopped after 71. It was my tires out of balance. Tension rods could be it, if they need changed change them. It can only get better

I just got new rotors calipers and pads in the front about a few months ago. I dont think that the rotors are worn already. has to be something else.

if it is the tension rods, should i get poly bushings or just spend the money on aftermarket tension rods

This might be a long shot, I have a similar vibration issue with my car and I found that it is coming from the driveshaft (the carrier bearing to be more exact). You might want to look at it and see how much play there is (there shouldn't be much play at all when you manually try to move the driveshaft)....... Just my 2 cents. Hope that you get the problem fixed soon!

well, a good starting place is the tension rods since they are already bad
