when my car is just idleing it idles good, but when i press the breaks it starts to shake and the rpms go down.. THIS HAPPENS WHEN I AM STOPPED! so therefore, it can not be the brakes, rotors, calipers or soforth. i think it might be my brake booster vacuum line? please help

It sounds like what you said could be true about the brake booster but how much do you push on the brakes before your rpms drop.....Maybe tail lights are drawing to much current?

check your grounds! i had the same problem. my car would try to bog out when i pressed the breaks. all my gauges would go crazy too. i just bought a few grounding cables from autozone and it solved the problem. goodluck!

Whatever it is, it seems like its taking power from the engine to drop the idle so its inconsistent, brake booster possibly

You should probably actually read the thread before responding. ^^^

Why start bad habits now?

Check for vacuum leaks, although if it's inside the booster, it will be a little tougher to diagnose. You can try plugging off the engine side of the booster hose and see if the problem still occurs. If it does, the diaphragm in the booster probably has a leak. If the problem still occurs start checking for electrical problems.

Strange thing, after i read this thread, my car started doing the same thing. Mine gets worse if i pump the brakes real fast. Does yours?I looked at the wideband while it was bogging, it was maxed out LEAN.I hooked up ecu talk and my injector PW didn't change. Strange that the ECU wouldn't try to fix it.

Either way, i'm pretty sure it's a vacuum leak. I got old, crappy hoses.
