My 89 240 is a standard and has a similar problem. It will do that at idle and will also shudder pretty bad when I take off in 1st with low rpms. I think I've traced it down to dead motor mounts. May be something to check on yours as well.

I ordered the JGS MMs, I've not heard any feedback on them, but I'll be sure to give info when I get them installed.

Several things to check:1 - sticking EGR valve2 - TPS harness connector pins; may need cleaning3 - possible vacuum leak4 - IACV unit may need cleaning

Would a BPT-EGR valve with a torn tube cause that as well? The shuddering I described that is. I noticed the vacuum hose coming out of the bottom of my BPT EGR valve is torn apart. I'm removing the EGR system before I drive it again, but was wondering if that could be my problem (I didn't know that would cause shuddering).
