When I got in my car today and went to drive away, the car seemed like it was flooded and kind of jumped as I started to drive. It seemed like it was going to cut out for about a second as I pressed the gas, so it seemed like it was either getting too much fuel or not enough.

I kind of noticed the same thing for two days now when I get out of school and leave to go home in the heat, but today was by far the most noticeable. Could it be because the car has been sitting-up for about a month waiting on a transmission, or would the more likely thing be a bad fuel injector or something???

The same thing happened this morning. I started the car fine, and the engine revved smoothly as usual (I revved it a few times to make sure), then when I put the car in gear to drive away it seemed as if it wanted to cut out when I first pressed the gas. After I got going for a minute it was fine.....

You say the car was sitting waiting for a transmission...

How long ago was the new one installed?

I originally doubted that it was the transmission because you can feel the engine cut out when it happens.....
