If I get the 2013 Rogue, can the back seat take two car seats and a passenger between them?
Or, two car seas (center and side) with a passenger on the side is fine?

I am talking about the regular car seats that the child sits in. We at the moment only have one + infant seat and that worked fine, but we don't have the second seat so we could not check if my wife would be able to fit between two, for sure.

We have a car seat in the rear on one side, and you could easily fit ONE more person in the back seat. I think you may be hard pressed to fit two car seats AND a person in the back. I think the Rogue is a little too small for that my friend. But I should point out that it does depend on the car seats. For example, some are much narrower than others. The car seat we bought is fricking wide, and takes up probably 4/10 of the room in the back seat.

Yes a small person could fit in the middle. Like a skinny adult. I was going to put the seat in the middle so a person could sit next to the TWO child car seats but I didn't like the idea of bending over more than I have too. Seems easier for my back. I might try the middle area for the baby seat so it would be easier for a passenger to sit in the back.

Pain in butt when you have to go over the cradle part when exiting. Of course the bigger seats where you have nothing to remove is not a good idea to leave that way of course.

I will probably put in center coming to think of it. I did try the center once with once seat. There is barely any elbow room but it's possible as best as I can remember. Plus the toddler could keep a better eye on their sibling. ;)

It's easier to put the 2 carseats together, one on the side, one in the middle. We did that for a road trip not to long ago.

There is no latch system in the middle so you would need to use the ceiling lap belt. Moreover, you need a locking clip or a heavy-duty belt shortening clip must be used.

Couldn't you, if necessary, use 2 hooks on the same latch? We tried it once and could do it fine, the only problem was seat space. That is, if you can find two seats that can fit next to each other, you should be ok.

I have a Britax front facing seat behind the driver's seat and my 8 year old is in a standard booster seat behind the passenger seat. A small adult could sit between them. If, however, one of your seats is NOT a standard booster seat I think it would be far too cramped.

Hi, guys! Today mom did well with one regular and one infant :) And we don't have a small one of either. I will let you know what happens when we get 2 full car.

Sorry, folks, wife refuses to have her picture taken, and without it, it's just a shot of a regular seat and an infant seat in the back of a Rogue. But we have taken a long trip last weekend and it went just fine, everybody was happy. We are going to be taking longer trips in the upcoming days as we are taking a long driving trip this summer (Maryland-Wyoming & back)

I've been using my Rogue with 2 full size, front facing car seats for several years, I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old. Lots of room back there, most importantly the front seats don't have to be adjusted forward to accomdate the seats which is necessary is most small to midside sedans. But I would not even try to squeeze an adult in between the two car seats, even if you're really skinning it would be a painful fit!! The Rogue just isn't a very wide vehicle, but length is one of its strong points and makes it a great vehicle for car seats!

It is definitely a tight squeeze and only a small adult could fit. I have a pretty big toddler safty seat and a carry baby seat. unfortunately, the child's mother HAS too keep an eye on the newborn and wants to sit back there. She is around 5 ft but has a bigger behind than me. Im skinny so i don't know how she is comfortable. You can't even use the middle seat belt I don't think. Well she never does. I also slid the passenger front seat all the way up so it is easier for her to enter or exit at times. Sometimes she squeezes pass the toddler seat. Moreover, my car baby cam is useless for the rear facing baby seat so my son is behind the front passenger seat but his 3 yr old sister helps give the play by play on what he is doing if mama is not around. :)

Before you try it, sit in the center seat for a short trip. I think you'll find that the padding in the seat base is much thinner in the center. While there are 3 seat belts in the back, I believe its *really* designer for 2.

I am trying to find a car seat for a newborn. I think we will purchase Britax B-Safe.
People say the safest place for the baby is the center of the car, but the center back seat does not have a LATCH. So I will use the seat belt. I know I am wrong, but I feel that LATCH is safer than seat belt. So I am confused.

Questions:
- Anybody uses Britax in a 1st gen. Rogue? Any comments? Complaints? I really need some advice.
- Should I attach the rear facing child seat to a side, because there are LATCH points (but statistically speaking, child will be "less safe") or should I attach the child seat to center with the seat belt?

I use Britax. Use right back and left back seat with LATCH. This is from the local fire department. I would advise to go with the LATCH and use the side seat, it makes everything MUCH safer.
