ok..here's the deal...bought a 1992 maxima se with 140,000 miles on it..it's been sitting for 9 years in an unheated garage in n.y. now it looks like the previous owner had taken good care of it. i have all the records on it..now my question is other then change the fluids ie. oil..coolent..transmission(5 speed btw)..should i siphon the gas out???..and what about turning it over?..should i oil the pistons?..if anyone can help me i would appreciate it!!!..this car looks like alot of fun...thanks again...mike

put few ml of oil into cylinders through spark plug holes. change oil, oil & air filters, spark plugs, pump out old gasoline, fill half a tank of the highest octane (not 105) you can buy and then try to start.god luck!

also check all the fuses, and get a new battery.

it was a pain in the arse when i was starting sr20de after 12 months

Budget and replace every single rubber hose, bushing , seal, and weather strip every single tiny one!

Add: replace plug wires; check distributor for cracks - prepare to replace at least dist. cover
