I work for Toyota here in Atlanta, but I drive a Versa because the car just feels and looks better than the Corolla or Yaris while still getting good mileage.

However, it came back to bite me in the a** yesterday as I had parked my Versa just across from the Corollas. Needless to say, I lost 3 sales because people kept asking what kind of car that my Versa was (since I have no badges) and comparing the interior space and looks.

I got a letter in the mail today from my Sales Managers. They want me to move my car to a different building so that nobody can see it.

I guess some things are just better than the other...

HAHAHAHAHA - Awesome!

Sorry you lost the sales, and sorry you have to sell Corollas.

Welcome aboard, any chance we can see some pics of your V?

How about crossing over to a Nissan dealer to drop your résumé under the door. You may be for efficient as a Nissan salesman...

Didn't have any effect on my next door neighbours. They went out and bought a Yaris, when the coulda/shoulda bought a Versa. Must admit that it's a nice colour of blue. Neighbour next to them bought something or other in a V6, and hates her gas mileage. Shoulda listened to her friend who lives and commutes in Windsor who owns a Versa or me.

I would switch to Nissan, but I'm worried that their sales aren't quite as good as Toyota's right now. I do like the entire line of Nissan better than I like the Toyota line, but there is just not as much money elsewhere...

Still, I know for a fact that I could sell a Versa!

While my Versa was in the shop being repaired for vandalism, they gave me an 06 Corolla courtesy car, and I was actually surprisingly disappointed. I don't find myself tall at all (5'5", but admittedly with 3 inch heels...) but I had to stretch just to reach the CD player. Is this common for everyone? It was incredibly awkward; I've never felt anything like that before! And I loved my old Toyota!

Most of my problems spawn from the fact the the Corolla has not been updated in over 4 Years! The design has been updated, but not in any market I sell to, and I have got to say that it is great, but looks just like a camry without the projectors.

Still, I am 6'1" tall and can't get comfortable easily.... Toyotas are comfortable if you are my height! Still like my Versa better...

There is definitely something "not right" about the seating position in a Corolla. I can't quite figure it out. I had one for a few days as a loaner and it was driving me crazy. I'm not a super tall guy at 5' 11" but I could not get comfortable. When I put the seat far enough back to give myself the needed leg room to drive, I felt like I was way too far away from the steering wheel and dash. It was strange. The Corolla is a great car, but I just couldn't get comfortable while driving.

I also rented a corolla a few years ago, and I was impressed with the acceleration, but as Matt_a mentioned, the seating position was not right... I had a problem with the "dead pedal" being too far forward, and too large.

I work at a Nissan Dealer in Peoria IL and have sold many versa's on my ownership alone but it's okay to mix brands because I think buyers only think there are three brands anyway...Ford,Chevy & Imports. When I started I drove a Tacoma, what are you gonna do?

eh you should switch to selling nissans anyway. The cars pretty much sell themselves. I have a twin brother that sells Nissans and he has said that at least 2 people a week come by to check out a nissan because they have seen my car at meets or around town and like the way it looks.

WELL,

I have been asked by Nissan to come work for them in Athens, GA and am considering taking the position!

I thought I might show you the V in its new parking spot!

AND... it's old one...

It's official. A debadged V's rear just looks weird unless it has smoked lenses.

I'd be more worried about a New York Yankee fan's car getting vandalized in Atlanta Braves territory....

It's a good thing the Yankees are in the AL and Braves are in the NL. That, and the general apathy on the part of the Braves fans.

In regards to the badgeless rear, It definitely needs something. I'm not sure that smoked lenses are the way to go, but it needs something.
