Car runs funny when warmned up

I sware I have read topics like this in the past but I dont remeber what people said. I tried to search a couple things but came up with nothing.

My friend bought a 240 and im trying to help them get it running right. The previous owner removed the emissions and left all the big vacume leaks open. I already had them block those off. Right now, If you start the car and drive it it runs ok. But after 10min or so and it warms up (doesnt over heat, just goes to normal) it doesnt wana go. Its messed up and Im not sure what it could be. Alittle help?

First guess would be the ECU's water temp sensor is bad.

When they first got the car it didnt have a fan running and there was no coolant so it started to overheat so I know the gauge works. After the fan was fixed and the coolant was topped off it no longer runs hot, but it still wont run right when its warmed up.

There are 2 water temp sensors. One for the gauge and one for the ECU. My bet is the ECU one is bad.

You'll have to be a bit more specific than "it doesn't wanna go". Does it idle funny? Doesn't wanna rev? Help us to help you out....

Very true. I havent seen this yet. I went and looked at it and saw the vacume leaks. Now he just told me this. I need to go test drive it. Guess I will go do that and get back to this
