My car wasn't firing on the first cylinder, and after a few tests we foudn that it ws the fuel injector. and after searching through 4 junkyards i finally found one for 37 bux, and replaced it and it works perfect. : )

Anyways my dad's friend was messing with the distributor to see if that was teh problem, (before we even found out it was the injector) and he moved the distrubutor all the way to the left (so the top screw was all the way to the right) so how should i postion the distributor?

Use a timing light and set the timing.

You can pick up a cheap one at Sears over in the automotive section of the tool department. Try to get one that lets you take the advance out, it'll make it easier to set/check.

According to the Craftsman website, the regular timing light is $50, and the one you can take the advance out with is $70. You might be able to get a cheaper one at an auto parts store. My timing light is about $200, but it's from Matco Tools, and is geared more towards proffesionals (even though I'm still an apprentice).

I work in an independant automotive repair shop, though I'm seriously considering trying to get a job at a dealer.

i think you can rent one at Vatozone if im not mistaken. but getting your own wll be better int he long run. you'll also know if the distributor is off becaue the timing will sound horrible.
