hey guys, the problem i'm talking about is the car starts, runs perfectly fine, but it won't go into gear, the car is not mine, but just seeing wihat the problem might be. any help would be appreciated.

edit:new clutch as well.

what do you mean wont go into gear

like can you get the stick to the spot and it just doesnt do anything or does the stick not move

try putting it into gear with the engine off, if it goes in fine it is a clutch problem. have the clutch pushed in when the engine is off.

I would crawl under neath the car. See if the slave clyinder is pushing on the shift fork while you are pushing the clutch in and out. If it is, either your shift fork is messed up, the throwout bearing is, or your clutch is out. I would guess that if the slave cyl is moving and you have a new clutch, that your throwout bearing is damaged. Did you replace that with the new clutch? If not, suspect that to be the case. This involves dropping the transmission again.

I'm having the same problem as this guy, but it feels like my pedel is not going down all the way(Maybe could still go a 1/4 of an inch) Could that be my problem or should I drop the tranmision and the the clutch and throwout bearing.
