ok i have been having this power loss issue for a while now. tps passed on fsm tests but a second ago i said @#$ it and disconnected the tps to see how it ran. the idle is a little off and i have a bit less low end but now the car screams when it hits 5k rpm. it doesn bog like it used to, throttle responce is off a little probably due to the sensor being disconnected.

does this definitely mean the tps is bad?

i re-tested the tps and it still passes, oh and im checking it connected and through the engine harness side so it is passing a signal to the ecu. now i have to figure out what exactly interacts with the tps.

i have often wondered if my tps was bad... though i dont know much about it.. i think i know where another intake is laying around i could robb it off of, im just to lazy to do it, ive never tried driving my car around with it disconnected.. but i do know it idled pretty much normal when it was disconnected. but imo your tps is definitely shot.

Have you tried to set your tps?

Have you hooked up a multimeter and checked the voltage with the throttle closed, and then with the throttle completely open?

Its possible that you need to set it.

yeah i did check it. but the tps is completely ruled out now. its either knock sensor or something else because the ecu is pulling timing. re-set the timing to 20btdc and feels better now but i have noticeable power boost at 5,500 rpm to red line.
