I noticed the other day that the injetor was leaking a little gas on the intake manifold so i took it out and replaced the big o ring on it, the leak stopped. Now the car seems to stumble on idle and there is more enginge shake, not to mention the car i running pig rich, adn sounds like its misfiring and blowing alot of gas through the exaust it seems like, anyone know what my culprit could be. I already checked the plugs and wires and they are fine anything else?? thanks

If your plugs are fine, then running rich isn't your problem. Also, it's probably blowing water through the exhaust, considering that's the primary component of gasoline exhaust. Are you sure you hooked everything back up properly?

Check you coolant temp sensor connection. You probably bumped it when you were working on your injectors, its a common issue.

It would be best to take the connection off and clean the pins as well.

If it smells REALLY strongly of gas, could you have a fuel leak? Check all throughout the underside for leaking fuel. This happened to me recently.

You changed the injector without removing your fuel rail? Also, bad gas milage and a fuel smell doesn't mean you're running rich, you could just as easily have a constant misfire.

yea i just poped it out with a screw driver, why do you have to remove the fuel rail? And by gas smell i meant, when the car is off and i smell the exuast tip it has a very strong gasoline odor to it doesn't seem normal. Im new to nissan so im not sure where the coolant sensor is?

I also checked the plugs today and plug 2 and 4 had a bunch of oil on them, but 1 and 3 were fine what that mean? THanks

Are you sure it was oil? Usually if you are burning oil your plugs will have a chalky looking buildup on them. You're supposed to remove the fuel rail so you can make sure everything is aligned properly and you didn't slice up any of your O rings when you put it in. My guess would be that at least one of your lower O rings is toast, which will basically just dump fuel into that cylinder.

OK so the proper way to take out the injector is take off the whole fuel rail. Ok Im going to check the bottom o rings tonight, ive never seen a car run this rich it looks like it's dumping way way to much fuel into the engine when i turn my car off, and look under the car there's a drip that cames fromt he cat and from the ehaust tip, it smells like un burnt fuel, some how there is so much fuel getting in there that its dripping from the exuast.

I doubt it's unburnt fuel in the exhaust as all cars will drip some water from the tip when the exhaust is still somewhat cool, but I guess if you really thrashed your O ring it's possible.

Its definatly fuel, i could tell the diffrence between gas and water.

Could one of my my injectors be broken and just be stuck open and is constantly just dumping fuel into the combustion chamber faster than it could burn?

And sorry whats fsm?

could be. But if your lower Oring is torn you'll get the same effect.
