car running rich

How do you adjust for richness.. i smell lots of gas from my tail pipe... really bad..

just becasue you smell gas doesn't mean your running rich, could be a bad cat, could be bad sparkplug not getting a complete burn, or any number of reasons, if the car is stock and you have a lot of gas smell once warmed up you're not running rich you have a problem of some sort

You can't adjust the richness, but this does tell you something is wrong. Does it miss or run/idle fine? Do you have stock or after market exhaust and is it from one tail pipe or both sides you can smell fuel?

-major vacuum leak-bad o2 sensor(s)-bad MAF-leaky injector o-ring-dead coil pack
