All summer it's been running very nice, purrs like a kitten, roars like a lion, etc.But I haven't driven it for a good week when he had our big cooldown this last week(going from 70's to 50s, around 35 one night). I went to start it last night to go the weekly night meet up in our city, and it wouldn't idle at all. So I unplugged the SAFC, and boom idled great. But you can' go over 2500 with it unplugged. So I let it warm up, plugged the safc in, and boom, dies immediatly. I'm thinking WTF? So I start it up starts right up, but I have to give ALOT of gas to keep it running untill I get it over 2000 rpm. Any thing after 2k rpm, it runs perfect, like it should. The SECOND it drops below, it bucks and trys with all it's might to die. I'm baffled. Any idea? Everytime I get to s stoplight, I have to tap the gas quite a bit, or else it will die.

I've tried resetting the ECU, that did nothing. Could it be fuel issue?

leave the safc plugged in and unplug the maf, see if it idles then. Also check all the settings in your safc.

i had the same proble. turned out to be a fried injector driver in the ECU...

Start unplugging injector clips while the car is running if you can keep it running to see if unplugging any of them DOESNT make a change... then that means its bad

Where are the clips at? On the ECU? I've never messed with ecus before.

Oh, do you mean the clips on the injectors?

So how would I go about getting it fixed? Get a new ecu? I was planning on sending it to enthalpy, would they fix it if it's just a driver?

He means unplug the injectors at the rail. Pull their harness clips off the injector, effectively turning them off. If you pull an injector and the car doesn't start stalling and sputtering, it means that that injector is bad. I have rarely seen an ecu go bad that only took one injector with it, but it can happen.

Also, S-AFCs aren't that great. Someone could have messed with your settings, or it could simply have just gone bad

I'm pretty sure its not the safc, because it usually runs and idles absolutely perfect with it unplugged, but when i unplug it now, it still idles good, but theres a bit of hesitation.Time to go freeze some nut hairs/ go find out if its in the safc or ecu.

Well it was my SAFC. Thanks for the help!
