So i fianly did my fuel deastec werks 550cc injectors, Megan racing FPR and a apex'i safc II. Now this thing runs like complete crap it wont idel well and it is backfiring like CRAZZY. Like when you step on the gas the car is hesatent and takes time to build revs. It had a full tune up oil,oil filter, fuel filter and spark plugs. And this dam thing still wont run properly. Could it be the settings i have the safc set to? Because i took the batery out could it have reset it self? But the odd thing is i looked and the correction was still set to -33 %. What are the in and out i want to use for the stock mafs? And i might also add that the battery was put in backwards and it fryed my ecu and ignighter and seized a injector. The other thing is you can pull the coil out on my # 2 cyl because a bolt snaped. So does anyone have anyidea what could be wrong?

Nick

Do you have both your hi and low throttle maps set to -33%? Most likely your car is running rich across the board. Did you make sure you set the MAF settings on the AFC to the SR? (either 5 or 6 depending on model) Also, if you raised your fuel pressure more than stock, thats another reason why your car would run rich.

setting for safc on stock SR MAF should be 6in and 6out, iirc.

To check for spark, pull each coilpack one at a time and see if the idle changes. It should sound worse on each cyl with a coilpack removed. If you pull a coilpack and the sound does not change, the problem lies in that cyl. The missing bolt on the coilpack shouldn't cause a problem as long as it is seated well.

A common cause of running super duper rich after injector install is fuel leaks around the o-rings. Did you lube them when installing them? If not they could be torn and leaking. Hit me up and I can help you determine if the problem is the injectors. I can send you new o-rings and a really good lube if that is the problem.

You should get an adjustable fpr to turn down your fuel pressure back to stock and then start tuning that way. It's unsafe to set your afc into the negative values.
