car Rev's up and down without doing anything.

I am hoping swim shark can help me out. Had the car sitting for a while and decided to start it up. Had some mice damage to some wires so fixed those but in my speed to get it started left one of the coil wires off. The car still started but reved really high so shut it off. Attached the connectors and then realized the gas pedal was very loose. I thought it ran down the center top under the pleen cover but not sure. It really seems loose at the pedal with the pedal just going back and forth with no resistance. Started it back up and now what it does is just by itself revs from say 10 on the tack to 30 and then back. Just keeps going up and down like that while running. Any ideas? Thanks

id check your vacuum lines

Check if any of the damaged wires lead to the cruise control system.

Possibly a dirty/sticky IACV as well.

which wires were nom'd through? could be a faulty tps reading or iacv malfunctioning.
