Hi all. I have quite the predicament on my hands. I'll do my best to explain the symptoms. The car turns off and immediately back on while driving. This occurs mostly when hitting bumps on the road BOTH WHILE IN GEAR OR IN NEUTRAL. After to coming to a stop after the car has restarted itself, the car idles much lower and on one occasion has turned off on me once I let go of the brakes. When the car turns off, the headlights will remain on. One more important thing is that the car has ignition kill switch integrated into the alarm system. Searching for this problem has led me to ambiguous answers.

I've tried disconnecting the battery while at idle, car continued to run. I've looked at the driver side wheel well to see if my tires were rubbing and it was fine. The ECU read code 55 so thats fine as well. My next step is to take it the shop that I had the alarm installed and have them temporarily disable the ignition kill portion of my security and see if that is it. Until I can get there, what are other possibilities? Please and thank you.

Has to be a loose connection in your ignition circuit somewhere, probably to do with the aftermarket alarm system. Honestly I've never seen one of those systems that didn't turn out to be more problems than it was worth. Consult the FSM and trace along your ignition circuit wiring, try jiggling the connectors and wiring with the engine running if you can and see if moving any of them makes the engine cut out.

Update. Took it to the alarm shop and it turns out they didnt even install ignition kill. Got a nice refund and took a good look at all my grounds. Cleaned them up nice and tightened everything down tight and now it's running well.
