Can you use a genuine Nissan remote from another car? I got one from a newer 300ZX and want to program my 91 2+2 to use it. Nissan dealers sell the remotes for $220 and charge you to program it to your car, so I thought it must be re-programmable. Anybody know?

I have a 95' Z and bought a new remote form a guy who used to own a 96' Z, I programed it my self and it works just fine. One thing though the keyless intry option was not available to 300ZX untill 1994 are you sure you can get it to work with your 91' Z by just purchase a factory remote?

I found a couple of similar instructions under askexperts and yahoo answers but it didn't work. Consisted of inserting key several times and turning to ACC position, etc. So maybe the 91s didn't have the keyless system factory installed...?

Buy an aftermarket alarm and any car with power locks can be keyless entry.

Yea I got an aftermarket system put in with actuators n all for my 1990, I doubt 91 had the system. Circut City did it for 100 somethin in a day, still working. However get all your alarm stuff at once, go big, its worth the security

I know
