So, after my car being down for 9 months, I recently got it somewhere near finished. With a fresh cylinder head

Here is my dilemma. The car will start, but then die immediately afterward. Even if I romp on the throttle.

But if I unplug the MAF it will actually idle at like 25-3000. Does this mean the MAF is bad?

Maybe i have a vacuum leak? Maybe the gaskets on the intake manifold aren't completely sealed?

Timing is good. I did the timing belt twice to make sure.

thanks in advance,Joe

Sounds like a dirty or bad AFM. First check the codes on your ecu to make sure there is an electrical fault on that circuit. If code 55 is displayed, then your am is dirty. If code 12 is displayed or flashed, check the wiring or be prepared to change the AF>

I went out got some MAF cleaner.sprayed the **** out of the MAF

started up and RANtook it around the block, in the snow.Did a little burnout.

I was so suprised it was a, stupid/easy problem.

Sounds like the problem Im having right now. My car will start up and idle fine but as soon as I plug in the MAF is dies. I can drive it all day as long as I stay under 2500 rpm lol. Im going to go try that today, I hope it works!
