Well..my 97 Maxima was running smooth and solid. Yesterday a car stopped dead on 290 here and I had to literally slam the brake pedal to the floor. I had to of skid for a good 5 seconds. Right at the end I thought I was going to skid right into the back of him I tried to turn the wheel to skid to the left avoiding hitting him. I stopped within 2 inches of his bumper. Stopped caught my breath. State trooper pulled the guy over and I started on the road again.

Instantly noticed that there felt almost like a wobbly resistance when I gave it gas. I went to work going at 65 and there was just shaking. Nothing huge but now a noticeable shaking to the wheel and also resistance when giving gas. The worst thing was that this car drove smooth. Very smooth. Now after this it is wobbly and resistance.

I ask you gurus here.....what the hell is going on and why? Anything I can check/do before taking this to the wrench? Thanks!!!

You flat spotted the tires. When you locked them up, the tires skidded on one part of the tire, not the whole thing. The only way to get rid of it is to replace the tires.
