no, but say if I get it and I would go backwards on it, wouldnt it mess up the transmission? as it said that you cant tow the car while the front wheels are on the ground and the back wheels are off.

Towing your car a front drive with the drive wheels dragging on the ground would obviously damage the cars automatic transmission, which is why they either tow front drives with a platform or install a dolly under the front drive wheels.

Now as far as backing up on the ramps no it does no damage, however always put on your handbrake and chock the wheels after wether driving forward on ramps or backing up on ramps. Always have a sober drinking buddy, wife, or mistress guide you to ensure nothing is going wrong while you are going up. (Vice versa for the ladies, girl friend, hubby, 18 y.o next door or that Latin lover)

I have used the ones on the left for 5 oil changes. They work just fine.

Parking brake works just fine to keep you one, plus there is a liitle recess to keep you from rolling off also. This recess also serves the purpose of a spotter. You can fell it when you are the top of the ramp.

I have the pair on the left as well. Been using them for years. Just pull the parking brake and chock the wheels. They work great.

Also pulled that plastic panel off the bottom months ago. Much easier access and much quicker oil changes.

I have those ramps. They work great. You have to go slowly however, because the lower plastics just barely clear the ramps. I've used them at least a dozen times on 4 differnt cars.

I changed my oil just yesterday with them. It also gave me enough room to crawl further under and unplug the evaporator drain tube on the A/C system. It was plugged and overflowing into the passenger footwell.

Picked up a pair today, the 12,000 pounders as that was all that was in stock. Will try them out over the next couple of days and will let you know what I think of them after I do an oil change and some maintenance.

OK, here is my feedback on Rhino ramps; I purchased the 12,000 pounders ( gray in color) and I am really happy I did as I found out today that they have about 4 times the reinforcement ribbing underneath or inside if you wish over and above the 8000 pounders (black in color). This extra ribbing all touches the ground not only helping in better supporting and transferring the weight over all but also helps in preventing them from sliding when the car is climbing them as so many more ribs are in direct contact with the pavement. The 12,000 lbs weigth 20 lbs each and the 8000 lbs weigth 14 lbs each, with the factory built in hand holes they are a cinch to carry, handle, and maneuver.

Now proceeding to perform an oil change with these is a charm and so much faster (compared to a manual hydraulic jack and a couple of 2-3 ton support jacks), the ramps lift plenty high enough to easily slide underneath and easily get to the oil pan and drain plug and even further as well to perform a visual inspection of other components. Extremely stable, not a twitch !

I accidently drop the old oil filter of course filled with dirty oil and some of it splashed all over one, once the car dismounted they are real easy to wipe off, clean and hose off, they look like new in a minute.

Real time saver and a real good buy; I strongly recommend them to everyone.

Remember for safety sake once up always put on your parking brake and chock the rear wheels also.
