i recently installed a welded differential on my 93 240sx, before i installed it the steering was fine, but now it pulls fairly hard left. could this have anything to do with the rear sway bar? i had to remove it to get the diff off (since it sits below the diff and gets in the way when droping the pumpkin) anybody have any thoughts of what this could be?

that's not good...

generally speaking a pull to one side is a result of a bad alignment (or worse a tweaked frame)...

failing that it could be a brake grabbing or a bearing thats wearing down.

normally I'd say it could be something wrong with your diff but since it's welded then it seems pretty much impossible that it could be pulling on only on one side.... unless it was welded wrong.

it's possible that you knocked something out of alignment when working on it, or maybe something with your suspension was broken and the sway bar was keeping the problem from showing itself.

That would do it. Go to a local parts store and get a caliper rebuild kit for your brakes should be like ~$10

Also get a 4 wheel alignment, something still could be out of whack.
