My car wont start. It cranks but doesnt start. When it does start, it hardly runs. Stumbles and stalls, almost like its not running on all cylinders, then it dies.

Ive replaced the engine, upper engine harness, ecu, fuel pump, distributor, plugs, cap and rotor, fuel filter.

I thought it was a grounding problem but ran an ohm test from the negative battery terminal to the engine and got .5 ohms. So i dont believe thats the problem.

Ive tried to turn the dist. a tooth back and forth and have installed it everytime according to the faq at ka-t.org. This is a brand new dist.

When it does start its usually because i have the gas pedal all the way down. But if it starts with out doing that, when i push the gas pedal down it drops in rpms or dies.

I have no idea what it is. My coil could be bad but i get spark from the coil to the dist. and my ecu reads 55 all clear.

HELP!!!

IF SOMEONES IDEA WORKS I WILL PAYPAL THEM ONE U.S. DOLLAR!!!!!

did u check your MAF and TPS? that is a common problem associated with these sensors. its the most obvious too.

i live in fairfield and i could probably come down there to help, but thats if its really neccessary.

let me know in detail exactly whats going on, because your post is still a little too vague.

When i could get it to start it would rev past 2500 rpm, so i dont think its that. And i replaced the engine with the tps it came with so i doubt thats bad and i replaced the wiring harness so i dont think its a bad tps circuit. If you could come by and help or try to help that would be awesome. Im just lost now.

Hey unplug your Fuel pump fuse underneath the hood and then turn you car over.. For some strange reason lately my car acted weird and flooded it self, so I unpluged the fuse.It turned over just fine burned off all the acess fuel pluged it back in and it works fine now

what about a coolant temp sensor. i know you didnt mention it, but if all the cylinders are flooding with gas(have you checked the plugs?), its usually that sensor. if that sensor is bad, it usually thinks its freezing outside and dumps fuel into the engine to help warm it up. atleast thats my understanding of it.

edit: you replaced the plugs, i forgot about that. did it smell like gas at all?

My car did the same thing and it was a bad fuel injector in mine. Hit me up on aim if you have it, my sn is vipersk8r1. if not email me, check my profile for my email.

Well, the engine that went in was a very well running engine before it went in, so the FPR and CTS shouldnt be out/bad.

About the injectors, they also werent messed with when i replaced the engine so that shouldnt be it. I think its the dist. put in wrong but ive done it a million times.

interesting.can you get the car to idle at all?do the plugs get fouled each time you turn the car over?did you check every vacuum port and couplers for leaks?have you tried swapping out the ECU from another car that runs perfect?what type of plugs are you using? (part# and brand)have you checked the flux capacitor? is it fluxing???

injector stick open.or massive air leak past the MAF sensor, possibly at the IAC or manifold

Probably the MAF. Your TPS can be completely unplugged and it won't run THAT badly.

Unplug the MAF and see if the car acts much different.

sounds exactly like something that happend on my step dads KA24E, I put the motor in, and couldnt for the life of me get it running right, so we took it to some shop and they said the the fuel lines were backward, i guess the return was on the feed, and the feed was on the return, it may be worth a try lol.
