My 2006 G35 Coupe really needs to get a good wax & polish job. My questions is any recommendations on products? One person at an Infiniti dealership said not to use polish because of the abrasives, but I believe there is polish available with little abrasive components. I have a few swirls and light scratches.

So, who has some recommendations?

I believe that consumer reports says that there's not a lot of difference anymore between polish and wax.

But, I use Zaino products and have been very pleased. You have to get it from a local distributor or internet. Also, there have been numerous threads on this, so check the SEARCH button.Welcome!!!

....wait for it guys.......

Zaino!! Unbelievable product! I recommend you do all steps (wash with dish soap, Clay, wash with Zaino wash, Z4 polish, Z4 polish, Z4 polish, Z6)

If you can get through the day of work...yes, around 5-6 hours, your car will shine like never before! Subsequent washes will be easier too.

I've been using Turtle Wax ICE wash and wax.

The wax is amazing... it is a clear jell that you apply with a provided sponge. You wait 5 min and then wipe the car down with a micro fiber cloth twice. The wax never glosses you'll know when its time to wipe because it will look like the paint is sweating. There is no rubbing, no swirling just wipe the wax on with a sponge and wipe the water it leaves behind off.

The best part is the wax does not turn white if you get it on some of the black plastic trim it will not change the color.

I can wax the whole car in about 10 min.

ZAINO is probably the best car care product line. I just don't have the time to use it.

I use Eagle One Nanowax. Like gwoods' experience with The Turtle Wax Ice, Nanowax does not leave any white on plastic trim. I actually used some to shine up some glossy finished plastic (also including headlights and taillights). It also does not leave any flakes (Big plus on darker cars). The caveat to it is that it leaves plenty of the residue on the microfiber towels as you wipe it off, which requires plenty of microfiber towels. But with these benefits, it still works great as a wax.

I've used Zaino in the past and it workes quite well, but requires many steps. Thankfully, it does apply and wipe down easily.

ZAINO ZAINO ZAINO+++++++1111. I can talk all day about this great product. Awesome, friends and family didn't recognize my car, 3 a month later and still looks like I just waxed it. Get the kit that's about $85 along with an extra bottle of the car wash liquid. Use dawn liquid soap first to get to the bare paint.
