So im a young kid who honestly doesnt know much about cars i would like to get into them but i just dont know where to start. Im 17 and i got gifted a inifiti m35 from 06 and i was wondering what could be done to make the car louder because i do like loud cars and how much would i be spending on parts and installation for those parts? Welcome to the forum.

Not to be mean or blunt, so please don't be offended, but this conversation has taken place MANY a time on here. Search for things (using our forums search function) like "M35 exhaust". Exhaust options come in muffler, cat back and full exhaust. It really depends on your budget...there is a million and 1 ways to go with it.

Labor rates are typically $75-100/hr if I had to guess...and a shop would likely charge 2 hrs labor to swap an exhaust. I can do it myself in 30 minutes if no bolts are rusted, etc.

I have only one request: do NOT NOT NOT add a fart-box muffler to an Ininfiti M !!! That's like putting a garter and G-string on the Queen !

There are several good choices such as Tanabe(I have them), Stillen, Megan, flow master, etc.

An electronic exhaust cutout would be ideal as it would allow you to be a d!ck on demand, yet when younare feeling sane and logical you could be part of a civilized society.

Intake mods are also good as you only get noise when you are going hard on the throttle. Induction noise is better than exhaust noise. Fite me IRL if you disagree.

Ebay has a Megan Axleback exhaust for a reasonable price ~$400

Be careful of Amazon merchants who 'claim' they have Megans in stock. In the past. members have had issues with mechants taking and keeping the money BEFORE they update the buyer that all Megans are backordered with no delivery date promised.
