ok wheres NISTECH at? Im posting this for a friend who isn't on this site. Heres his story

"i was driving to columbus from ricefest and all of a sudden the lights and cluster went dim, and i smelt this smell of burnt wires/plastic, so i pulled over in a parking lot and shut it off...when i popped the hood smoke just rolled out, i went to start it up and all the lights and **** on the inside were on, and the solenoid kicked in....but it didnt turn over. This morning i took the battery to get it tested and it was good. Today i had to get home from columbus so we just roll started it and it worked, at the gas station it was idling and it all of a sudden started over heating really bad. i shut it off and let it cool down, roll started it then left. I turned the heat on to draw it away from the motor. i checked all the wires from where the smell was coming from, and found nothing. some people told me it was the starter or starter ground. Any ideas or input would be greatly appreciated, Thank you.

Sounds like he blew a hose, I would look for a leaking hose directly above the altenator since he states he smells electrical.
