car overheats and leaks

my car overheats and leaks out the water pump something called a weep hole i thinkwhat could be the problem help me

so replace the water pump no biggie. remanufactured at NAPA $33. the weep holes are a fail safe to keep the fluid from reaching the bearings and causing the pump to seize if and when the seals fail. pump may even be alright just the seals are shot causing it to lose pressure. anyway good excuse to back flush the cooling system.
