Ok so im turning back the timing on my car since its been advanced for awhile and i didnt like the way it felt. I hear a fan turn on and i can feel the air on my legs then i get in my car and its running hot so i back up and there is coolant all over the ground. After letting it sit for a while i had to move it and i pull forward and hear a "clunk clunk" so i throw it in reverse and start moving again and "clunk clunk" .... the car sounds fine and idles fine i just dont know what it could be. Ill have to look at it during the day but any input from you guys would be greatly appreciated.

Who knows. If you are handy, fix it all

When I overheated I changed the thermostat, radiator and did a coolant flush (obviously with a new radiator). It helped, but by that time my head gasket was gone. I had coolant in my oil.

Well i thought i had it narrowed down to the water pump and it turns out my thermostat was done as well now my car still runs hot but not to the point where it overheats but noticably hotter then before and the temp seems to go up and down with the a/c or when i rev. I need to solve this cooling issue if i cant keep my car cool now the turbo isnt gonna help it any. I may just break down and take it to a shop :(

damn

do a coolant flush. Check your hoses. I replaced all the crap and didnt really diagnose it because it was free. I had a parts car so I took the radiator, hoses, etc. Changed the thermostat. But my HG was already in head heaven. IF you do a flush and check the hoses and it STILL runs hot, I would get it checked. Even if you have to pay a little money, they can diagnose it and then you can fix or have them do it
