Hello everyone.

First of all, I hope I've posted this in the correct section. Forgive me If I haven't. I'm ok with it being moved to its correct forum section if need be.

Anyways, I own a 03 Infiniti G35. This car has been great to me since I purchased it used from a buddy just over a year ago. It's fulfilled its job quite well, while sparing me any headache. However, just yesterday my car overheated on me. When I got home I inspected its radiator and found that this part was to blame. It showed signs of leakage and a majority of the fins were severely bent. I know that replacement is my only option at this point, but before I do so, I'd like some advice. I've decided to purchase an aftermarket version online, but don't know which companies are reputable. I've found two that I particularly like but before I buy from one of them, I'd like some sort of verification that they are a legitimate business. I almost never buy anything online so I don't know how to spot a scam, and I can't afford to be scammed.

Has anyone dealt with either of the following companies and can verify that they are a legitimate company? The products on the pages have the same OEM number as I’m looking for, so I’m sure they’ll fit my car. Thanks in advance.

I've not used either. Radiatorspot appears to have been started last summer, and I couldn't turn up any customer reviews. Directdealerparts has been around since at least 2007 and has predominantly good reviews on pricegrabber.com.

Welcome to NICO

I've gotten screwed in the past by using independent repair facilities that use aftermarket parts and have a slightly lower labor rate than a dealer.
I no longer use them and only trust the dealer to do work on my G

I would at least get a price from an Infiniti dealer and more than one if you can.
It is not only a radiator that you are dealing with but with an 03 there is the water pump, thermostat, belts, hoses, fans, and radiator cap that may all need to be replaced?
After all of that then a pressure test should be done to prove all is well with your cooling system.
I've learned that buying cheap usually results in buying twice.

Good luck

It sounds like he's planning to do it himself, Telco. You must have really gotten burned to be advising taking everything to the dealer, distinguished tightwad that you are. I've not had cause to have my new G serviced anywhere yet, but over the years I've had very good experiences when I sought out brand-specialists with certified techs and a verifiable track record/reputation. Will probably do the same for the G: I have a chip on my shoulder with Pearson (Richmond) Infiniti over them not selling nor honoring Infiniti Elite Maintenance plans. Oh, congrats on the recent mpg increase--it must be getting broke in good @137K. ;)

OP, the radiator is likely a part that you want OEM for. The Dealerdirectparts item claims to be just such.

Hello
I have a G37X 2010..had a 2009 and 2003 before..
Had the same problem as you before..
I do a lot of milage per year..so the space between the 2 radiators (one for the motor one for the AC) get stuffed with sand and all s*** form driving in winter...THE SOLUTION...open a beer...take your water hose..no nuzzle..and arrose the radiator from the outside of the grill, from under the bumber, from inside the hood...for 20 to 30 min. depending how fast you drink your beer..You will see all the crap falling down under the car.
When i got the problem the first time..the dealer wanted to change the AC compressor..$ 1200. one of my wize mechanic friend told me what to do...and a beer not that expensive .... I do that once a year..
Hope it will solve your proble
PS: sorry for my bad english
