Car over heats help thanks

Hey guys car over heats out of the blue, replaced water pump with new fluid and fully bled,thinking it would be thermastat would like to make sure from someone and ...nismo or oem or any other brands out there that are good to replace thanks

I Just did oem. It's best to do the t stat and water stop at the same time anyway. I'm sure the t stat went bad

out of the blue like what? whats the driving condition, how long your driving it etc, you could also have a bad coolant temp sensor reading. its like $10

happen 1st time when i was driving in 2nd for a good 3mins or so and it just shot up, stopped car and cut the engine then turned on again and it cooled down...2mths go by and i was taking a cruise sorta cold out and it shot up hot cut the power...then turned on, slowly went up did this for a couple times... then cooled then got home as quick with out keeping it on hot..then when i got home it stayed normal and not hot...soo kinda wierd..ima try a thermostat since it was dealer for 18 buks...if it goes hot il do the sensor but everything works good other then that...
