Im new to the forum. WE have a pathfinder 2001. yesterday it does not want to start. it has light on the dash board. Codes are P0340 and P1335 . I hear something turns but i cant hear any firing sound. so we replaced the crankshaft position sensor ( as per codes)- no change. removed the sensor to see if the flywheel turns- it does not. we suspect its the starter. on the starter i tried to start the car to find out if the starter is engaging- we think its moving ( somebody is holding it underneath while we are trying to start the car... but we will take it out ( starter) to make sure the teeth is not broken since flywheel not moving.
Before all of the above diagnosing was done we also changed all the spark plugs 5 new 1 was done 1 year early ( no 5). To add the starter died and replaced few months ago- autozone parts. we tried to jump it with another battery but no luck.
Any input is much appreciated.
