Hey!
so a brief explanation....

Tuesday
I drop the car off at the guy who will sort it out and get it ready for its MOT. I forgot to grab the battery clamp i made so i say i will drop by after work and fit it tomorrow.

Wednesday
I get to his to fit the battery clamp, he just locking up so says that he will do it for me. the car has been moved back so he can get in and out of the door.

Thursday (today)
He rings me up to say the car isnt starting, i say check all the plugs and the fuses. I go round after work, he explains that he moved the car Wednesday and when he went to move it today, it dosnt start. none of the fuses are cooked. I pull the fuelpump fuse and crank it with WOT for 20 sec, fuse in - still the same. He thinks that the battery has clipped the IC pipeing, but if that was the case surely when i was driving it the car would have stopped dead...

that was last week....

ok so today...

battery has been linked up to my van...

I've tried;
a known working ignition amp
a known working ecu
AFM unplugged
Engine temp sensor unplugged
I've had the spark plugs out (looking a little black so i cleaned them up a little (also they are wet))
ive had a look for boost leaks
checked the idle offtake.

turns over fine, and fuel pump primes. one thing i did notice is that the pump will hum when priming then the relay will click when its finished and then there's another click which seams to come from in-between the dash and firewall. but like i said, i can smell the fuel comming out the exhaust and the plugs are wet.

I also cranked it over for ages without the fuelpump fuse in again to see if it was flooded, still the same...

I also plugged up a timing light to cylinder 1 coil pack and thats flashing so there must be a current.

any ideas???

Yeah you have to check for ohms. Make sure your ohmmeter can measure more than 10 M Ohm. Its in the FSM in Section EF & EC page 165
