hi my car wont start and making clicking noise after i run it like half hour and park it for like 5 minutes. it will start after i let it cool down like a few hours. it will start right away in the moring and hot afternoon. but wont start after i run it and shut it down. is my starter going bad or other relays cause i try to hit the starter wiht piece of steel and it still wont start. now i have to let the car running when i have to stop somewhere. same problem when i have ka24e and now red top sr20det.

the starter realy does go bad on nissan. check for power going into and out of the relay. check for power at the stater and turn the key to start and check for power at the starter solenoid.

i had a problem like this too.. i noticed that whenever my temps would reach 85c+ my volts would drop to below 13.. sometimes 12.. so for some reason when my car got really hot it wouldnt make enough volts at my alt.

If that isnt the problem then it could be your temperature sensor. The temperature sensor if bad will tell the ecu that the engine is cold (when it is really hot) and thus the engine will be flooded at crank due to too much fuel being dumped in for "cold" start.

And also have you changed your spark plugs lately? the wrong heat range spark plug will cause this problem.
