ok, last night we installed my new toys, a blitz SBC-Id and a blitz powermeter-ID, ive had a bad surging problmen at crusie for a while, i didnt have boost gauge with vacumn readings so i didnt know till last night that the surging always happens around, -2 and 2psi, i probably have a boost/vacumn leak, but tonight it started idling funny again it would bounce from 850 down ro 100rpm and should stall out, but it wont it will start back up and bounce back up and down to stall again but it wont the battery light will come on and it will bounce back up again, then its sputtery and surgy when yuo try to drive! when its trying to stall the motor isnt bucking like it would normaly its very very smooth and quiet it seems to be still purring but its just wanting to shut off but wont.

im starting to think either my MAF is dirty again already. or im having a fueling problemn, my pump has been unsually loud lately and now its not, kinda comes and goes, im using a walbro 255 highpressure, im smoking again black smoke under boost, so that should mean im over fueling.

it just doesnt feel like a air leak this time. more like lacking and then having too much fuel. i still havnt found a fuel pressure gauge to use to check it, the ricer shop here wants 35$ to check it for me. any suggestions?

i was also thinking, my variable timming controler is hooked up to the port directly under the TB plate, now that port wasnt good enough of a vacumn source to make the boost gauge work or the BOV work, so could my surging and sputtery running at near 0 vacum and .5 or so boost be caused by those butterflys not being controled properly ??

the stalling only happens everyonce in a while mostly right after driving n stopping, but say im waiting in traffic after the first min the car will seem to stop doin it and idle correct. im getting - 17 most the times at idles and it varys from -16, -17, or -18 all the time, while cruising its at -21 most the time.

im tired and sleepy its 11am i got to nap then ill be out to work on it again

At idle you should at least be at -19 to -21 vaccum on a healthy engine or you may have a leak.

low compression maybe? maybe my AAC valve plate is leaky. dont know maybe my ghetto hot pipe is the leak who knows
