I have used my walbro pump for a long time now and I replaced my sending unit, I have the walbro unit mounted in my trunk. I had to re wire some things on the new sending unit to correspond with my old sending unit. Now when i try and start the car it wont start, and the walbro is making a REALLY loud noise ALOT louder then it is normal. Also a guy installed my SAFC'II for me because I wasn’t sure how to exactly hook it up. And I don’t think he has the settings right. I also need to know how to change the settings. I have a sr maf and a redtop SR with a code 62 ecu. Can anyone explain to me what to set it to, because my car isn’t even turning over now it will just crank. I was assuming my maf could be dead but that wouldn’t make sense since it was running for a short time while the guy was helping me fix the car. Only after the safc"II was installed it stated to screw up. And the walbro unit only started making noise after I installed the new sending unit. Another useful piece of info is that I have a adjustable FPR and when i turn the ignition to 2 no fuel press is made. Need some help ASAP!

Thanks!

Nick

You need to tune the SAFC before you ever tried to start the car, its not a self learning computer, it needs to be set up.

Download the manual here, and follow the steps only takes like 3 min to do: http://www.apexi-usa.com/pdfInstallation/15.pdf

Also your sensor input should be hotwire 6 in 6 out if you have an S13 SR MAFS.

Are you useless? Its in the manual.

1) Select sensor type in menu 3 etc. Hot wire 6 in, 6 out. Leave the sensor calibration at 1 in 1 out.

2) Go back to etc, go to Car Select. Select 4 cylinders with the arrow pointing up for throttle type.

3) Make the SAFC self learn the throttle. Floor it for 10 seconds. Then lay off for 10 seconds.

4) Turn off the ignition.

5) Turn on the car and the setting should have been saved. Now you can run the car.
