If the clutch needed to be bleed then he would not be able to put it in gear and let the clutch out and it be like its in Neautral.Not saying it doesnt need bleed but thats not going to fix your problem.
You need to take the transmission back out and look at the clutch again. Sounds like you have the Throw out bearing in wrong backwards or something. Also look at your clutch. It should have marks on it that says FWS that goes against the flywheel. Aslo I hope you had your flywheel re-surfaced before installing a new clutch on it. Otherwise when it does work you are going to get chadder!!!!
