Hey guys! I just purchased my first new car and would like to tell everyone hello and my plans of modding my car!

I consider myself a complete car noob even after my work on my last 02' honda civic. Someone pulled out in front of my and it got totaled. I'm a Sys Admin from the south so I love computers. After many many months and revisions I had a portable and hidden carputer. Most just throw in a screen but in a college town they would get stolen very quickly. I could quickly detach the screen and hide it when pulling to the bars but it also looked like a very clean install.

So basically I plan on doing the same to my new A/C 11' 2.5S! I will post pictures and updates of my build and why I did it for those not so computer savy.

I do, however, have a very noob question. I want to do other things to my car (besides debadging) but have no clue whats good and what everything cost.

My question is if you could do 1 mod a month what would you do and a guesstimate of cost per mod?
I'm thinking speakers are first to go? Then intake / exaust. After that springs and rims? Yea total noob along with the cost of everything. Any advice would help!

Thanks,
YellowSnow

Ha. I'm digging the name.

If you opt for coils instead of springs, your three biggest mods (can't speak to the speakers, so I don't know for sure) are probably going to be the rims and springs.

My coilovers cost me $1000 and the wheels I just bought cost me $1200 for the rims alone, but prior to buying those, I was looking at a total of $1300 for another complete wheel/tire set. Only reason I opted for the nicer tires is that when a set of $3200 wheels wanders through your life asking only $1200, it's hard to say "No."

I'd recommend checking out these two sites:
http://www.racinglineperformance.com/
http://www.stillen.com/

You should be able to find most every performance mod you could want for your car at those two sites. I haven't looked around at many other sites, so others may be able to add to the list.

I agree with IBC, go with coils over springs. The prices he gave are about what I would say, though you could get a nice wheel/tire combo off Alex M since he's selling his. Also when you're looking at exhausts, the pricing could range as much as $500 for a magnaflow setup to $1300 for the greddy setup. The intake shouldn't cost you more than a couple hundred bucks though

If you have the 6spd the racingline short throw shifter is a must, and if you do that get a weighted shift knob. best bang for the buck mod in my opinion. then I'd say coilovers and RL rear sway bar, then some shoes IMO.
