Heya guys, as the title says my car started acting up recently, wouldn't start without a jumpstart so I figured the battery went. Got a new battery and it was fine for a while and then the same problem came back up. It even stalled a couple times at night when I had the headlights on. Car is fine when i rev the engine up, and the electrics do actually work when, just dim at idle. Im really hoping its not a bad alternator...any other explanations?

Sounds like corroded cables. Replace them lately?

Havent replaced them since I got the car used..is that hard? Theres also a cable for the subwoofer/amp that came with the car hooked up directly to the battery..could this cable be causing the problem?

I would bet on the alternator if your electronics go dim at idle. try turning the air conditioner blower motor on and drive around if it blows more air the higher the rpms get then it will be your alternator. also make sure of the cables arnt corroded cuz that can slow the charg from the alt. to the batt. preventing a full chg.
