I have an Infiniti I30 99'. In the morning I notice that the car is much more responsive and pulls noticably haeder.

Why is that? Is there a way to trick the ecu like what's done is some fords?

cold air is more compressed... im not sure how much colder it is as opposed to the afternoons where you are - but it does make a difference.

trick the ecu? ... I dont know how serious you want to get but you can get an aftermarket ecu/standalone and basically do anything you want... max out your maf and injectors... or get a reflash... call your local tuning shop and ask them.

save your money and build a dope project car.

Cold air = more dense.

More air = Better combustion.

Simple as that.

yes like it was said cold air is more denser. the 2 best places to pick up dense air is below the air damn on the front bumper and at the spot where the windshield meets the hood. like the muscle cars using cowl induction. the trick you speak of is the cheap resistor mod that should be ignored at all costs. its tricking the ecu to adding more fuel and if you arent hitting the real marks you are getting knock which is bad. i used some piping from 2 ebay air intakes to make my filter just behind the air dam. i mived the iat sensor to right behind the filter down low. i insulated it so im not getting any heat soak from the engine and i ported my throttlebody to 70mm in a venturi shape to get the air in faster. i also bypassed the heater tube on the throttlebody. runs like a twice raped ape. also id recomend doing exhaustwork first. the engine is an air pump you need to get air out faster before putting more in.

i agree and wit turboed cars colder air = more air into the combustion chamber
