My car has died or something??? ok my timming chain was chattering for a long time and i know it was the tensioner but i dont think that has to do withthe problem. i went out to start the car in the morning to warm it up and i was out for like 5 mins come back my car was off and so i try to start it back up and all it does is turn over. i dont think the chain is broken cause the pulleys still turn if i am thinking right that means it is still on there and working????? need some input and some ideas thanks again guys

for got belts will turn no matter what cause they are connected to the crank not the timming chain

2nd update

the engine is a sohc tonight i am going to take the valve cover off and see if the chain is good i was also thinking that it could be the gas cause i was kinda low on gas but i went i got a two 2 gallon jugs of gas and put it in there and still no start but it could also be that it that the gas is so low that it freezed up in the lines and the tank dont know yet

we will have to see

need more ideas

The only thing I can do is point you in the direction of Courtesy Nissan at:

http://www.courtesy-nissan.com

Check out their on-line parts department for some of the cheapest parts around. They sell timing chain kits that come complete with everything you need for a very good price.

Hope that helps.
