Car makes a thump noise everytime it is shifted into OD and takes off.

It's a slight thump noise from the engine compartment. We 1st noticed it about 2 weeks after we bought it. It only does it when shifted from P to OD and right when you take off. The car doesn't lose any power or anything it just makes that thump. Anyone else have this problem or know what it is? I've looked the car over and can't find anything that it could be.

ABS self check or whatevers? the thump noise you hear AS soon and you drive

Why's it do that, I've never heard anything on the ABS make a noise like that. Does all the Altima's do this?
