Car leaking Gas

Sorry if this has been asked before i couldnt find a clear awnser. My car has been smelling like gas for the past 3 months. removed evap valve blew it out and now 4 weeks later this happened when idling [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_p_NNGqW8c[/youtube]

maybe the return line has a hole in it? that's messed up. mine has a fume smell on hot days, but no sign of corrosion or gas. Mine might just be the cap.

Its comming out of the water seporator and fumes were coming out like CRAZY one spark... id be dead XD

Which year Pathfinder is this? Ever changed the fuel filter?

2000.5 I guess I call it 2001 Changed the filter back when I had all the maf sensor issues. I pulled a evap vent thing from the junkyard

There were no 2000.5s.

Are there any cracks or other damage on the water separator or any of the hoses? Any of the hoses plugged? See EC-362 for a hose diagram. Make sure the EVAP canister isn't saturated with water either.

Its a 2001.1 then No clogs no cracks havent checked for water

Should I install the vent or get a New one

Which vent?

You might need to replace the water separator. Luckily it should be under $30, so even if it doesn't fix the problem it won't cost a fortune. Provide your VIN and I can give you an exact part number.

Oh. Have you checked the charcoal canister for water saturation yet?

So water drained from the EVAP canister when you removed it from the vehicle with the EVAP canister vent control valve attached? If so, weigh it - it should weigh less than 4 lbs. If it doesn't, check the hose between the EVAP canister and the water separator for clogging or poor connection; if that's fine, you need a new (or junkyard) EVAP canister.

I cant get it off but i felt water in it
